@OnLeaks has delivered high-resolution renders of the Nord CE 3 months before the device’s anticipated unveiling. Reportedly, the Nord CE 3 will represent a shift in design for OnePlus’s mid-range series, with OnePlus taking greater care to distinguish its cheaper smartphones from its flagship ones.
@OnLeaks has shared more information about the OnePlus Nord CE 3, this time in collaboration with 91mobiles. To recap, @OnLeaks and GadgetGang outlined Nord CE 3 specifications earlier this month, with a Snapdragon 695, an IPS display and a 108 MP primary camera all due for OnePlus’ upcoming mid-range smartphone. Additionally, @OnLeaks outlined that OnePlus will offer the Nord CE 3 with up to 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 67 W fast charging.
While the leaker has not shared any device dimensions yet, he has provided several high-quality renders based on leaked CADs. In short, OnePlus has moved away from the design language it employed with the Nord CE 2, which mimicked company flagships like the OnePlus 9 Pro. By contrast, the Nord CE 3 has echoes of the OnePlus X, the company’s first mid-range handset.
Specifically, the Nord CE 3 has flat edges, which OnePlus has punctuated with a single downward-firing speaker, a USB Type-C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Additionally, the handset has a power button on its right-hand side, with volume buttons adorning its opposite side. The Nord CE 3 has a flat display too, and a punch-hole for what is expected to be a 16 MP front-facing camera. As it stands, the Nord CE 3 is anticipated for a mid-2023 release.
