Investigation Ensued, However District Attorney Ultimately Declined To Prosecute Morant

A police investigation ensued afterwards for several weeks before the case was formally submitted to the district attorney’s office on Oct.4, however the DA ultimately declined to prosecute Morant.

Court records show Morant, as well as his childhood friend Davonte Pack, are listed as defendants in the case, but it’s unclear what the plaintiff is seeking in the suit.

Representatives for Morant did not immediately return requests for comment.
The 23-year-old point guard has quickly become one of the best players in the NBA after making his first-ever All-Star team last year, and remains a legitimate candidate to win this year’s MVP award.

Over the summer, The Shade Room reported on some positive news from Morant, who went viral for a heartwarming moment where he gave a waitress a $500 tip.
