What is the Mocaverse NFT collection by Animoca Brands?

Mocaverse is the official PFP NFT collection by Web3 giant Animoca Brands featuring characters called Mocas. Each Mocas is part of one of the five tribes: Dreamers, Builders, Angels, Connectors, and Neo-Capitalists. As the names sound, each tribe reflects the different personas of Web3 changemakers.

Essentially, the collection is a means for the firm to bring together its portfolio projects, subsidiaries, joint ventures, and partners. The NFTs will function as membership passes for Animoca Brand’s team members, investors, partners, and also select token holders. Ultimately, the project aims to unite the Web3 community through shared goals and values.

“The community of Animoca Brands stretches around the world and across the open Metaverse,” said Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands. “Our family and friends include builders and leaders who are shaping Web3 culture and creating the future of this space. Mocaverse is an opportunity to create a tighter and more synergistic community as we strengthen the connections between our teams and portfolio, and create new ways to build the next great projects and platforms.”

What are the utilities of Animoca Brands NFTs?

Essentially, Animoca Brands’ Mocaverse will include four categories of utility, called “realms”. Each realm will represent the collection’s core pillars—learn, play, build, and do good. To clarify, each realm will work as a channel for members to learn, exchange ideas, and grow as a community.

Furthermore, Mocas holders will enjoy a host of membership benefits. This includes opportunities for learning together (such as expert AMAs and masterclasses); playing together through game passes and exclusive in-game assets; and building together via accelerator programs. Members will also get to do good together by organizing and contributing to various social causes. In the future, the project will add new utilities and collaborations.

How can you get Mocaverse NFTs?

Unfortunately, not everyone can get their hands on the Mocaverse NFTs—at least, not yet. Animoca Brands has exclusively reserved the NFTs for its friends and family. Those eligible include the company’s institutional and retail investors, employees (including of its subsidiaries), management teams of Animoca Brands’ Web3 portfolio companies, and also its partners.

However, Animoca Brands will soon share details about added special eligibility criteria. All those eligible will get a free mint as well as a paid mint quota. The company has already sent emails to all those eligible with instructions to submit their wallet addresses for the mint.

Finally, you can learn more about the collection on the Mocaverse website
